PriceAdvice Helps Consumers Make Informed Online Buying Decisions
The Company Offers the Premier Solution for Consumers Looking to Purchase Used Items at the Best Possible Price
NEW YORK, NY - June 22, 2011 - PepCom Digital Experience - PriceAdvice, the premier online price valuation system, was officially launched today by its parent company, iTaggit Inc. PriceAdvice is designed to help consumers make informed online purchasing decisions by providing access to a highly robust, easy-to-use price valuation system. Functioning as a virtual blue book for users looking to price any item, PriceAdvice offers a range of current market values for used products being sold online.
"We want consumers to know they're getting the best and most up-to-date prices for any used item they want to buy," said Ira Williams, president of iTaggit. "Our goal is to become the most accurate valuation tool available for the purchase of used items on sites such as eBay, Amazon and craigslist. PriceAdvice was created in an effort to remove the guess-work many consumers face when buying a used item online and to make the process as easy as possible."
To calculate the current market price of an item, PriceAdvice developed proprietary data mining and pricing algorithms and combined them with actual transaction data from millions of sales across multiple online marketplaces. The system searches for items for sale that match a particular product description, then provides a range of prices for which the product has sold, identifies where to buy the product at current prices and determines whether the current prices are higher or lower than the true market value. Everything on the PriceAdvice website is protected by industry-standard security tools including firewalls, virus scanning, and authentication services.
Launching with two of the most popular eBay categories - watches and tablets - PriceAdvice provides access to prices from over 3 million transactions. Over the next several weeks, PriceAdvice will provide valuation services for several more product categories and specific brands. No sign-up is necessary. Just log-on and search.
